A post to help us get through Friday: Capri, Italy

Hello friends !! Its Thursday night, we are all tired and ready for this week to be over right? Let's go to Capri Italy so we have something to get us through to the weekend.

I went to Capri in 2010, I honestly never thought I would ever get there, always thought it was the place to celebrities and the uber-rich, but guess what, it is backpacker friendly !! Yes you read that correct, backpacks are welcomed. Villa Eva is a complete gem, located in Anacapri, so the town next to Capri, up the hill if you will. I highly recommend everyone go there, yes go splurge in Capri, its really easy to get there from Naples or the Amalfi Coast by ferry, or if you have a helicopter you could do that as well :)

What I loved about Capri was the sheer decadence of it, it seemed like every little shop had some priceless gemstones they were selling, just so money. But at the same time up in Anacapri it felt like a reasonable little town, the food prices were reasonable and it had a cute small town charm, it doesn't try to compete with Capri. Its also not as touristy.

Travel Tip: If you want to save money, or if the Blue Grotto boats aren't going in due to the choppy waters. You can walk down to view the blue grotto from above in Anacapri, its a really nice walk down a hill, and if you don't feel like making the trek up the hill you can take a bus back up to Anacapri.
